Players out of top places get 1 point simply for participation.

No tie-breaks are used for Grand Prix scoring.

In case of a tie the points are shared equally among the players.

Points won in a single tournament cannot be combined. A player gets the most point score available.
If a player eligible for Class points (K-5, K-3 or Girls) wins more points in overall contest, then the next highest finisher in that class group wins the Class points.

Team Score is the combined score of top three players representing the same school. Team Grand Prix contest follows the same formula as Overall Individual race.

Attention!

In February and March we will not have separate Grand Prix tournaments. Instead we expect our scholastic players to take part in the lower (Under 1200 and Under 800) sections of the Winter Open and the Sioux Falls Open. We will use the above scoring system to determine GP points in both sections. Non-eligible players will be excluded.
